Happy Valentine’s Day from Grand River Grocery! We had a very successful chocolate tasting Friday evening featuring Mimi Wheeler of Grocer’s Daughter Chocolates. All proceeds from the evening benefitted a small Ada non-profit, Vicky’s Pet Connection. In all we were able to donate $2,300 towards the fostering of homeless and abandoned dogs and cats. Chris Ferris prepared dinner featuring many items from Grand River Grocery (we’ll be posting her recipes on our website in the next week), Sarah Andro our Wine Chick worked with Michael Bomers to select wines that complimented Mimi’s chocolate and Chris’s dinner. Hancock Lobster Pot Pies
Just arrived Monday! From Maine, these pot pies are located in our freezer and they are amazing! Produced by the Hancock family in Maine, they’re an award winning pot pie LOADED (and we mean loaded) with lobster in a thick rich sherry flavored sauce, in a buttery crust.
