Mention Michigan Avenue in Chicago to anyone and you hear about "Garrett's Popcorn". Garrett's has been in business since 1949 and while we agree their popcorn is delicious - there is a new Chicago-area popcorn popper challenging the Garrett's tradition - and doing it very well. ROBERT ROTHCHILD
We love this line of dips, spreads and tapenades, and we're pleased to bring them back to the Village of Ada. I just bought their Onion Dill Horseradish Dip (we were sampling at the market and I couldn't resist) and served it with planked salmon for dinner . . . WOW! Before dinner great as a dip with pretzils or fresh vegetables. These products are perfect picnic fare and can be served right out of the jar.
PALAZZOLO GELATO
What's not to love about this Michigan based company . . . Chef Pat Wise of Bistro Bella Vita (my favorite downtown restaurant) has had this gelato on his menu long before the company ventured into retail and we loved it everytime we dined there! Made in Fennville, we love the individual serving containers which are perfect for summer snacking right out of the container. A few market favorites - Mackinaw Island Fudge, Chocolate Malt, Espresso, Raspberry Sorbetto, or my favorite, Mojito Mint.
HOUSEMADE SALADS AND SIDES
In Market Chef, Erin Van Epps has been busy putting the final touches on our summer cafe menu. Pictured here and available through asparagus season is our Roasted Asian Asparagus. We'll also be offering a "Pure and Simple" house made potato salad (really good and kids will LOVE it), Mexican Coleslaw, Moroccan Couscous (a great side with planked salmon with BLiS Moroccan rub), Mediterranean Sun . . . and more!

Made by Door County residents, Jenny and Carrie, these award winning nuts are fabulous! Fresh roasted gourmet nut mixes, they're not too sugary, just "right". We've also picked up a fun and delicious line of snacks from Society Hill. Both Nutorious and Society Hill make great hostess gifts (people LOVE them) and would be a quick and easy addition to your summer picnic basket!

Erin was able to round up one LAST go around on morel mushrooms, about 10 packages - they're beautiful but won't last long.
