ST. PATRICK'S DAY - NOON TO 6!

Not just any cookie - a Grand River Grocery cookie! Made from scratch in our new little kitchen across the parking lot near the Thornapple Daily Grill. Crew member, Heidi VanSolkema we have discovered, is an OUTSTANDING baker! We hope you’ll stop in Tuesday and have a cookie and a little glass of that farm fresh millk from Hilhof Farms in Hersey, Michigan (organic!) -you know - the milk in the glass jar that tastes like milk is supposed to taste! In celebration of St. Pat’s Day, our Chief Culinary Artist, Chef Wes Davis is offering Lamb Stew and Corn Beef with Sweet Bacon Cabbage and Boiled New Potatoes! Stop in for a TASTE and take dinner and cookies home!

Another delicious Michigan product line, Christen and Sarah Landry hail from the northern community of Lake Leelanau where they operate a natural foods restaurant, Kejara’s Bridge and they'll be in our market Friday!  Stop in and TASTE their "famous" (at least in Northern Michigan!) Veggie Burgers, delicious hummus - pesto and sundried tomato, their outstanding Balsamic Vinaigrette, and their Tamari Trail Mix. All natural and organic ingredients, no preservatives - Christen and Sarah are true ambassadors of good food. While you’re in the market - pick up some of our “authentic and all natural” pita bread from the freezer to go along with the hummus!

IRISH COFFEE RECIPE

 

 

1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
1 tsp brown sugar
6 oz hot coffee
heavy cream

 


Combine whiskey, sugar and coffee in a mug and stir to dissolve. Float cold cream gently on top. Do not mix.
