CIRCA WINERY VISIT

PREP AND SLICE - Father's Day Gift Idea

At the recent Housewares Show Chef Wes, Connie and I all LOVED this very practical, utilitarian item.  The Prep and Slice is a cutting board and utility tray combo for grill use and everyday kitchen.  Chop and slice on the cutting board (dishwasher safe), marinate grill meat in the pan below - separate grillfare (marinated meat on the bottom), grill veggies or kabobs on the top for easy transport to the grill . . . meat juices drain into the pan below from grill to table . . . cut on the board . . . this does it ALL!!  For only $32.95

Each month our crew selects an item they're really excited about and would like to share with you. We post these on our website and around our market. As "foodies" and serious beer and wine enthusiasts, we do ALOT of tasting and each month we like to share these tastings with you via our "Crew Picks".

My June selection is Great Lakes Tea and Spice Grill Rub and Seasoning. Global taste from my good friends in Glen Arbor, Chris and Heather Sack. I'm serious about these seasonings and rubs - they turn my ordinary grillfare into something really special. See my recipe below for "Beer Can Chicken with Roasted Potatoes" using the Northern Exposure Organic Chicken Seasoning. The rubs are all really easy to use - I drizzle and rub olive oil into my meat, then rub on the seasoning - yes - it's that easy!   I hope you'll experiment and have some fun around the grill this summer with these flavors: Organic Mole de Caco, Organic Teriyaki Ginger Rub, Northern Exposure Organic Chicken and Steak Seasoning, Oaxcacan Coffee Grill Rub, Balsamic Fish Rub and new for this summer - Sweetwater Caliente Grill Rub .
