Patricia’s Chocolate is a collection of artisan ganache and caramel chocolates. Each is handcrafted from fresh ingredients and the finest American and French couverture cocoas in the commercial kitchen of Patty's home in Grand Haven. Trained at the French Pastry School in Chicago, Patty creates complex recipes that combine cocoa, European butter and growth hormone-free creams with exotic varieties of imported spices, fresh herbs, fruit purees, coffees, teas, and fine liqueurs.

From our own Grand Rapids, Charles Golczynski of The Catering Company has created a beautiful line of chocolates. Shown here is his dark chocolate heart with sugar flowers and 3 molded heart truffles. (I've got one of these traveling to Florida for Valentines Day to share with my mom!)

GROCER'S DAUGHTER TRUFFLES
From Empire, near the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Northern Michigan Mimi Wheeler and her small team of chocolatiers handcraft these rustic artisan truffles. They use Rainforest Alliance certified, premium high cocoa content chocolate, and work with a small cocoa growing cooperative in Ecuador that employs fair trade practices. The artisan, hand-made chocolates and hand-dipped truffles are made with many locally grown/blended products such as herbs, spices, berries, spirits, coffees, teas and nuts. They use no artificial flavors or preservatives, and buy locally when it is possible.
