WE'VE GOT A BIG WEEK!!

• Creswick Farm turkeys arrive in our cooler Sunday
• Zingerman's will be arriving Tuesday morning (between 10:30 and 11:30) with a truck full of pies, Lemon Couds, Sugarcrisp Muffins, Salted Brioche Rolls, Brownies, Coffee Cakes (in time for Thanksgiving weekend), Cranberry Walnut Bread and Farm Loaf.  First come, first serve. 
• AND . . . our Holiday Green display is set up - greens from the Pacific Northwest!  Due to the high moisture content of the growing area these greens hold their color and needles longer than our Michigan greens (and besides - let's save Michigan trees!)  Thanks to our friends at Ann Arbor's Produce Station for helping us source.

TURKEY BRINE CONCENTRATE

Connie's Crew Pick this month is a new product we found at one of our fall food shows.  Sweetwater Spice Company has come out with a "concentrated brine" ready to go!  Simply mix 1 part brine concentrate with 3 parts water - no messy boiling or mixing.  That easy.  Click on the photo for more Crew Picks including Sarah' Andro's Pinot Noir pick for your Thanksgiving dinner.

As we head into this season of "Thanksgiving" and onward to Christmas and a New Year I would like to thank each and everyone of you that supports local business.  It is a tough economy in Michigan and I know myself and every other small business owner is working very hard.  At Grand River Grocery we are truly appreciative of every single customer that comes through our door - a bottle of wine (or a case!), a 6-pak of beer, a cup of Starbucks coffee, a sandwich or dinner entree, a bottle of olive oil, Michigan products or a gift . . . all of it is appreciated.   Thank you - I hope all of you that read our eblasts and are connected in some way to Grand River Grocery have a blessed and safe holiday season.  Moments to yourself to reflect, time with your family and those you love and care for . . .
