WINNER'S TANK 'VELVET SLEDGEHAMMER' SHIRAZ '08

The Winner's Tank is a recent discovery that highlights what can be accomplished when an extremely talented winemaker gets his hands on some premium, Langhorne Creek fruit.  Winner's Tank is a new venture between Reid Bosward of Kaesler vineyards, and David and Cathy Knight, owners of the Winner's Tank site.  The name relates to an old water tank that sits in the corner of the vineyard. 

The wine showcases intense plum, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur aromas.  The palate is described in the wine's spice that are balanced by a firm tannic structure.  This wine has limited allocation  - people that know it, know to buy it up because it doesn't last long!  We have 3 cases and that is it!
