NEW FROM BROWNWOOD FARMS - CRANBERRY BUTTER - THE "TASTE" OF THE SEASON!

Our friend Jeff Hughes and his team of Williamsburg "elves" have once again done it! They're created a new butter using Michigan cranberries and it's a real winner! Fruit butters are a great replacement for breakfast jam - smoother in texture and full of intense flavor. Try the Cranberry Butter on toast, smear it on pancakes, warm it up and drizzle over a chicken breast (I served with my turkey on Thanksgiving). This product is BRAND NEW out of the "testing" kitchen and Jeff was kind enough to quickly ship us several cases. Stop in this month for a "taste".

HOLIDAY PARTY "CRACKERS"

"Crackers" are decorative party favors widely used in Great Britain to celebrate a variety of special occasions and festive events.  They consist of beautifully wrapped and decorated cardboard cylinder typically containing a tissue party hat, a joke or riddle, a "pop" or snapping device (hence "crackers"), and a small gift or novelty item.  At dinners and parties crackers are used to decorate individual place settings and are usually opened prior to serving the meal or refreshments.

I use "crackers" around the holidays for my dinner parties when gathering friends or family to celebrate.  They add a festive flair to my dinner table.  Kids AND adults like "popping" them open and seeing what is inside.  They add a fun and festive flair to evening!  We purchased a nice assortment of crackers this year for the market and I'm particularly excited to "crack" open the musical instruments at a dinner party this Friday - little instruments and music sheets included!  Get ready Mary, Tina, Maddy and Susan (and the guys)!

Market Special:  $2.00 off while they last!
