We've assembled quite a team of talented chefs under the leadership of our Chief Culinary Artist, Wes Davis and his assistant, Andrea.  Our accumulated talent and experience has grown significantly with the addition of Chef Regina and Chef Peter.  When we say we're ready to take care of your holiday needs . . . we mean it!  We're now producing expanded baked goods (muffins, scones, coffee cake), cookies, brownies and bars (Regina's pecan and lemon bars are killer), expanded dessert offerings for your holiday entertaining including Pot de Creme, Deep Dish Apple Dumpling Pie . . . and that's just for starters.

We've also expanded our dinner entree's to include sides . . . you want to grill your own meat but don't want to fuss with potatoes, veggies or risotto? You can now pick up sides.  AND . . . family pak meals, which we'll be expanding.  Stay tuned . . . we're just getting warmed up!

RECIPE . . . CHESTNUTS!

I try to post a "chestnut" recipe each November because doggone it . . . what would November be WITHOUT chestnuts and turkey!!!  Thursday, November 19 local chestnut grower Leslie Winkle will be visiting us at the market and roasting her fresh chestnuts on our patio.  This has become an annual tradition and I look forward to it each year.

TASTE - THANKSGIVING!
November 5 and 6, 2009

Annual Taste of our Holiday Offerings . . . Thursday and Friday, noon - 6

TASTE and special order your side dishes, pies from Zingerman’s and other holiday desserts we’ll be offering. Our chefs will be in the market to answer your questions and help you put together the perfect menu for your family. This will be your last chance to special order your Creswick Farms Turkey (if they’re still available). Also joining us will be Susan VanderMolen of Tarbell’s Seasoning. Susan was a hit at this summer’s Ada Village Farmer’s Market with her Original and Garden Seasoning Salts. So of course, Grand River Grocery is now selling Susan’s salts! This year we’re also offering a 1 or 2 lb. Celebration Roast for vegetarians.
