Sarah's Tasting Notes:  "You can detect lots of lemon and aroma's of vanilla and some spice on the nose.  On the mouth, lots of tartness and lemony zest, typical of this Austrian grape.  This wine bursts with crisp flavors.  Fresh apples and black currants, along with mineral spiciness.  Aromatic and lively with fresh apples and exotic fruit with great acidity making this a perfect wine to sip throughout the rest of summer."

100% Gruner Veltliner.  Hand harvested and transported to the cellar in small crates.  Fermentation at 19-20 degrees celsius using cultured yeasts.  Left on fine lees in steel tanks for a short period before bottling in January.

FARMERS MARKET RECIPES

Grand River Grocery was at the Ada Farmer's Market this past Tuesday serving up local fare using the markets freshest ingredients!  On a recent trip to Traverse City Jeff, Gillie and I dined at Trattoria Stella in The Commons.  A restaurant that I think makes good use of local seasonal fare.  I ordered the Chilled Green Bean Salad pictured here.  It was amazing.  I asked my two Culinary Artists, Wes and Andrea to recreate the dish which we assembled at the Farmer's Market.  Check out our website for these recipes from the Farmer's Market:
