Bakery Coming Soon!
Work has begun on our new Bakery, set to open in April. Haley McNeil, previously of Nantucket Bakery, has already been tempting us with her muffins, scones, cupcakes, cookies and more. Have you tried her peanut butter bars? Crazy delicious.
We are excited for her to start baking in her own facility with her own team behind her. Fresh breads and pastries daily, custom cakes and cupcakes all will taste even more delicious with some espresso!
Best of all it means a new gathering place, and a new reason to make Ada your destination.

New Gluten-Free Options in our Freezer & our Cafe
Unimpressed by gluten-free bread options, a friend with Celiac disease asked the master baker at Udi's in Denver, CO, for a better option. The result is Udi's gluten-free and now can be found in stores nationwide. You will find these breads in our freezer, but also in our cafe, allowing us to offer gluten-free sandwiches.
French Meadow Bakery is the longest continually operating organic bakery in the U.S. and you can now find their homemade tortillas (they make gluten-free tortillas too!) in our freezer, or ask for them in the cafe!

A Taste of Iowa
From Courtney Cheers, our Cheesemonger:
Some of you may know that my roots go back to a large farm in Iowa. So this month I am plugging my home state by selecting two amazing artisan products that come from there. Praire Breeze Cheddar is made from the milk of 15 Amish farms that is rBST free and seasonally grazed. Aged a minimum of 18 months, it is a sweeter more continental cheddar with a long finish. In 2009 it won 1st place in the Aged Cheddar division at the American Cheese Society Awards. And, it is Really Good!
La Quercia is now packaging their artisan, dry cured meats in retail packaging. This is one of the most amazing products I have tasted in a long time! This farm does everything right, from the ground up. They use heritage breeds, they use highly select ingredients, they use age old methods, and their aging brings out the highest expression and differences of their ingredients. They have gained quite a following from respected chefs and food critics across the country. They have proved that Great Prosciutto and Cured Meat does not have to come from Europe.
When you pair the Prairie Breeze Cheddar, La Quercia Prosciutto, a crusty bread, and a bottle of de Bardos's Ars Mitica Temparanillo; you might just find yourself in a little bit of Iowa heaven.

A shout out to the G-Rap from Larry Mawby
Larry Mawby’s M.Lawrence brand of Michigan sparkling wine has a new addition to it’s line-up. We love the “Detroit” and “Sex” and are now excited to carry the “GR”. What a great gift to someone new in town or a way to put the finishing touch on a Michigan gift basket!

Featured Purveyor--Brownwood Farms
In their own words :
We've been producing delicious, all-natural salsas, sauces, mustards, and preserves since 1945. Our recipe for success? Hand-crafted products, locally grown produce, time-tested recipes, and true passion for our work.
True enough, but we believe that the proof is in the pudding. And the fact of the matter is, with such excellent products as Apple Riesling Salsa, Famous Kream Mustard and Cherry Honey Mustard, sometimes it’s hard to keep these products on our shelves.
Especially when they’re so great to cook with, too.
